Artificial turf, Astroturf™ surfaces should not be played on when there is any debris present.!! As broken down debris will be pushed into the carpet by foot pressure.!! Ideally cleaning should take place before play with a Cleansweep. At a minimum the surface should be cleaned of all debris weekly.

Once a month the carpet should be brushed with a heavy drag brush to de-compact the pile & re-distribute the sand. At this point any contaminated sand/ excess sand can be skimmed from the surface with a Greensweep & easily removed from the court, all possible with the Sweepfast System. As sand levels are crucial to the longevity, playability & safety of the court, sand should be added (using commercially available spreader,( hand, pedestrian, towed or mounted)) or removed at this point.
Any moss should be spot treated with an approved chemical.
