Revival
The revival
process must be carried out before the
contamination in an artificial turf,
Astroturf™
carpet becomes so deeply embedded that a
full refurbishment is the only answer.
|
The carpet
on the right has become
contaminated with debris- |
 |
|
 |
-and moss
has heavily contaminated the
surface, particularly the outer
edges. |
|
Stripping
out the sand and contamination
with a K2000 powerbrush. |
 |
 |
The finished
court before an application of
new sand infill and spraying for
moss. |
|
Clearly the
moss, which was creeping in
around the edges, has been
removed. |
 |
|
|
 |
The carpet
on the left has been without
regular maintenance and moss
treatment and is now unfit for
play to take place on. |
|
Once the
moss has been killed with a
spray, careful treatment with a
Caremax machine and the moss can
be brushed out of the carpet,
transferred into the hopper by
vacuum, removed from the court
and tipped into a suitable skip
or onto suitable waste ground. |
 |
 |
Final
cleaning up is done with a
combination of a Cleansweep
first then a Greensweep, which
will leave the court clean and
ready to play on once more. |

|
|
|
|
|
On some carpets this
can only be considered a temporary
solution. |
