Filtration Sand
Sweepfast Ltd. stock a
range of silica sands for sporting & pool filtration applications in 25kg bags,
please use the photos here to help identify the source and grade
of the sand you require we would then be happy to quote you for
small or large quantities, from as little as 25kg , or larger
quantities in bulk bags if required.
If you are unsure of the grade and type of sand on your facility
simply post a sample to us so that we may try to match it .
Points to bear in mind on artificial surfaces, the coarser the
sand the faster the water drains through it and the longer it
takes to silt up, the downside of this is that contamination in
coarse sand gets deeper into the surface and is harder to
remove, also the coarser sands are harder to work into the
surface and in the case of tennis courts produce a slower
bounce.
