  Artificial turf, Astroturf™  tennis courts or hockey pitches, should not be played on when there is any debris present.!! As broken down debris will be pushed into the carpet by foot pressure.!! Ideally cleaning should take place before play with a  Cleansweep, this machine unlike a broom gently lifts debris whilst grooming the surface at the same time. It is light enough to be used by all club members before play commences.
At a minimum the surface should be cleaned of all debris weekly.
