Move Snow With Less Effort
With winter just around the corner, our thoughts are constantly about the weather and when is it going to snow because here in the UK I must admit we are obsessed with it. Is it going to rain? are we going to burn in 21 deg sunshine? it hasn't rained for two weeks could we be going into a drought situation, you know what the headlines are like. But in reality we're not equipped to deal with extremes of weather, and when it does snow the UK grinds to an embarrassing halt. And quite frankly moving large quantities of snow is a back breaking chore, then when you wake up in the morning and it's happened again well the thoughts of leaving the car in the garage, don't go to work and get the sledge out are uppermost.
But if you have a responsibility to keep a facility, drive way or car park snow free then sleepless nights are nearly here. However with some forethought and planning it may not be so painful and slow.
In Europe and North America Snow Blowers have been around for years and now they're just catching on here in the UK. Texas machinery in Denmark manufacture a large range of snow blowers to deal with continuous large falls of snow, and Sweepfast, the UK importer for Texas Machinery holds a stock of these machines in its Midlands warehouse and can supply within a few days.
What is a snow blower?
- Two Stage Snow Blower
A snow blower is basically a self powered piece of equipment that will pick up snow as it drives forward, chew it up then lift it and blow it in a selected direction up many tens of metres, depending upon the type of snow blower in question.
They come in many sizes, power and guises, but basically there are two types:
- Single Stage
a single stage snow blower simply relies on the screw to pick up and throw the snow, and it won't deal with anything deeper than 6-8" or wet snow.
- Snow-Buster-390 Single Stage Electric Snow Blower
But a single stage snow blower can be a useful aid in the home and garden.
2. Two stage
a two stage snow blower has an additional turbine at the rear, behind the screw to drive the snow up the chute and throw it away. These are designed to deal with deeper falls and also wet snow doesn't pose such a problem.
- Petrol Powered Two Stage Snow Blower
There are also two power types, electric and fuel. Electric types tend to be single stage, while the fuel powered can be either, there are also petrol and diesel fuel types.
3. Multi Use Machines
There is now a unique multi use machine called the Combisweep.
- Combination Sweeper, Snow Blade and Snow Blower
This machine has the ability to swap its head round from a snow blade, to a snow blower to a sweeper. It has a unique quickly detachable system which means devices can be swapped in seconds.
- Combi Snow Blade
The economy of the Combisweep lies in the fact that there is one power unit which does three different jobs of work, so while the snow clearing equipment is out of action the rest of the year the machine can still be used for powered sweeping of large areas. There is also a collector that fits on the front of the brushing unit to collect everything that can be swept up.
- Quickly Detachable
All these machines are available for demonstration, please call 0121 747 9255 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, or simply visit the website www.sweepfast.co.uk
